Do you want to put your region on the cutting edge of legal information, referral and service? Do want to better serve linguistic minorities or residents of a rural or remote area? Do you need $$$ for innovative strategies and projects? If so, legal or community organizations are invited to apply to The Law Foundation of Ontario and ask that your region to be selected as a candidate for the “Connecting Region”. The deadline for applications is January 22, 2010. The Law Foundation of Ontario wants to support the creation of a Connecting Region where a consortium of legal and non-legal organizations work together to develop a coherent system for the delivery of legal information, referrals and services to linguistic minorities and/or residents of rural or remote areas. If your application is successful, funding will be available to help you to work with others to form the Connecting Region and may be available for a range of proposals aimed at improving legal information, referral and services to linguistic minorities and/or rural or remote residents in your region.
