Participants will know the definition of labour market, the five major
forces that shape the labour market, 14 terms commonly used to describe
the labour market, how economic and other trends will affect the industries
where engineers work.

Participants will know how economic and other trends will affect the
industries where engineers work.
- Research Skills
Participants will understand how to conduct labour market research
on their own using libraries and/or the Internet.
- Skills In Demand
Participants will have gained practise in reading job ads, isolating
the requirements and determining whether they meet the requirements.
- "Employability Skills"
Participants will understand the three categories of general skills
in demand in the Canadian labour force and will have practised working
as a team.

Participants will know the salary they can expect to earn if hired
in a position that reflects their experience and qualifications.
